Hi all,

My questions quite simple but needs a slightly long winded answer.

I've recorded the guitars and bass for a metal track and i was wondering how to get a decent sound from the overall track. by that i mean, how to use certain feautres.

For example, what are the main processes i will need to use and what do they do to the track. I know what sound im looking for (aim for something like Killswitch Engage, obviously not gonna get near that but its a heading point) i just dont know where to start in getting that sound.

  • Did you find any of those links to be helpful?

    • Thanks for the reply, ive read through those now, it's given me more of an idea about how to get clean sounds :) I was gonna aim for TDWP kinda sound cause their tracks are pretty punchy, but i think they use a lot of samples, dont they?
