Well producers like Kanye West, Will-i-am, and 9th Wonder don't use PC based production programs at all.  Will-i-am I've tracked personally at Circle house uses the MPC 2500 for his Sampling and drums, And he uses the Motif es 7 at the time before the ex series came out, with a Fantom Rack for his melodies.  9th wonder has admitted to playing around with fruity loops but never claimed to sold a production on that software system.

Generally Successful producers uses these pieces of gear for production in my line of business.  The Neko or Meko Keyboard.  Motif Workstation, The Fantom Workstation. MPC 2000, 2500, and 4000.  Some Times the Triton has been uses but alot of the sounds flooded 1999-2003 and is not used as often.

Know famous hip-hop producer claims to use programs such as Fruity Loops, Acip Pro, and Reasons.  However it doesn't mean that you can't make great music out of it.  And alot of the local producers I work with use these programs as a cheap alternative to making the music that want for their projects.  And a lot of them sound really good, but it is because they already have a talent for music production and can music on any avenue, either it be a Workstation such as the The Neko, or the Motif EX or it being your Fruity loops 9.

I know I can of beat around the bush with your answer.  But the answer is no they don't use music production programs in general.

Skillz...don't focus your attention on what programs or plugins to use -- instead focus on the music itself.   By that I mean, take your favorite track and listen to it a bunch of times.

Now, each time you listen to it focus on a different part of the track.  The first time through listen to nothing but the beat.  Listen to how the beat transitions from part to part and from hook to verse.

The next time through, listen to nothing but the low-end bass sounds.  Listen to how they write earch part.

Next listen to just the instrument samples on top of the track.

Do this for every part and write down notes about what your hear.  The point I'm trying to make is that things become more clear when you break it down into parts.  Now you can start to replicate some of the things you hear on your favorite tracks.

Once you get a good idea of how different tracks are structured and put together you can start recording them and experimenting.  There is a lot more to this than just pushing record.

Ill throw this in too,  Sade uses her live band for her beats and music.  The music is what matters most.

The best thing you can do as a musician is master the tools you are going to use no matter what they are, and don't believe the hype.

Without a program, how do they edit and see where the songs playing? i dont get this part. Isn't the base of producing a music within the system logic etc? And don't you just plug in equipment there to create a beat?

definetely protools and logic. I attend New York University (the best sound engineering program in the united states) and all my professors said that the majority of professional studios use logic and protools.

i guess it is like mentioned before about using your own musical  instruments and house hold appliances. e.g: if you wanted a drum but didnt have one you could try a chopstick on a quality street tin. or sausepans or the ridge door, if we leave our fridge door open, it beeps and that could be part of the sound, you dont always need to have the equipment you can always use other stuff

To get exclusive beats, you would have to pay for it. Being a music producer, i need unique beats that have never been used by other people. So, I usually pay for the beats for the professional purpose. <a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>hip hop beats</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>beats</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>custom beats</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>trap beats</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>rap and hip hop beats</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>hip hop tracks</a><a href=www.kingkongbeatz.com>beats for sale</a>
